How we got here

We are a group of animal crazy people and we have always been directly involved in animal welfare.  We are not keyboard warriors, we go out and do the work.  We never drive past a stray animal, we would not be able to sleep if we did!  

We are all on many different animal networks on Facebook and social media groups, always networking pets, in the hope that we can reunite them.  This is all good and well, but it is not ideal because many pets fall through the cracks.  We wanted to create a system that anybody with a smartphone can access, free of charge, to find a missing pet, or publish a found pet.  We also wanted a function where there are no geographical boundaries because missing pets often end up in different provinces!  Similar lost and found apps, always have a geological limit, meaning, you can only look for pets in a certain range of where you live, let’s say 30kms.  This is not ideal, especially when you are as fanatic as we are.  We don’t just look out for pets we are directly involved with, we also try our best to match up lost and found pets in any area.

findmypaws.co.za also includes a very powerful search function.  You have almost unlimited search options, such as by breed, area, breed, colour etc. If we can get everybody on board, reuniting pets is going to become extremely successful and quickly! 

We are still in the beginning stage, tweaking and sorting out problem areas.  There is so much more to come that will make this app one of the best in the world!
